At Swing Invasion we want ALL dancers to feel welcome, and able to continue their learning, no matter their goals! Our Competitive Edge Class is how we meet the needs of our dancers who have developed their skillsets past our regular leveled classes, and onto the WSDC Competition Floor.
Structured around a 4 month Curriculum Cycle, prioritizing fundamental skills with expression and creativity, this class is the brain child of Swing Invasion’s President Elizabeth Williams, brought to life by Swing Invasion’s Resident WCS Professional, Hailey Toro. All of us are so proud of, and invested in the mission of this class, and the ripple effects that nurturing and developing advanced students brings to our extended Swing Invasion Community!

This class has a list of requirements that ALL Students must consistently meet to attend, including specifications around their participation in learning opportunities, and their physical dancing abilities.

Starting in Sept 2025
ALL COMPETITIVE EDGE STUDENTS are required to RE-TEST to remain in the Competitive Edge Class for 2026.
This applies to EVERYONE, no matter how recently you have tested. The ONLY Students who are exempt are those with WSDC Novice Points.
Any Competitive Edge Students who have previously tested with Hailey, or have attended class in the last 4 months (May-Aug 2025) will not be required to pay the Test Fee.
